O protagonista da nova novela das seis, Davi Jardim (Rafa Vitti), tem um grande sonho: tornar-se o maior ilusionista do Brasil. Quem observa sua vida de perrengues, não imagina que o mágico é de uma família rica, mas que o pai perdeu toda a fortuna com a crise de 1929. Órfão de pai e mãe, Davi aprendeu os primeiros truques de mágica com o seu falecido avô e, mesmo tendo concluído seus estudos, é no ilusionismo que o jovem encontra sua maior satisfação e consegue tirar algum para sobreviver.
“Davi tem esse sonho de ser um grande mágico. É muito talentoso e generoso, uma pessoa bondosa, de bom coração, que sofre uma grande injustiça, mas não perde as esperanças, sabe? Ele é uma pessoa que acredita e é um personagem muito forte. Vai ser bem interessante dar vida a ele”, conta o ator Rafael Vitti.
Nessa sua vida mambembe, Davi chega na agitada Poços de Caldas, em Minas Gerais, no final dos anos 1930, quando o processo de industrialização do país se intensifica. É lá que seu destino toma rumos surpreendentes: ao mesmo tempo que vive um grande amor, viverá também uma grande tragédia.
O nascimento de um grande amor
Uma apresentação na praça faz com que Davi conheça a menina Isadora (Sofia Budke), que está na cidade para comemorar o aniversário da irmã, Elisa Tapajós (Larissa Manoela). Os caminhos do mágico e da Família Tapajós estarão marcados para sempre a partir desse encontro. Para o personagem, Rafael estudou bastante sobre mágica e buscou se aprofundar nas décadas em que se passa a trama.
“Procurei aprender de verdade a ser um mágico, porque é uma arte bem complexa. Eu fiquei bastante tempo me dedicando a isso. Além disso, fiz um trabalho aprofundado para o personagem com as preparadoras Beta e com a Cris Moura, e andei estudando sobre a época”, revela o ator.
‘Além da Ilusão’ é criada e escrita por Alessandra Poggi com direção artística de Luiz Henrique Rios. A obra é escrita com Adriana Chevalier, Letícia Mey, Flávio Marinho e Rita Lemgruber. A direção geral de Luís Felipe Sá e direção de Tande Bressane, Jeferson De e Joana Clark. A produção é de Mauricio Quaresma e a direção de gênero é de José Luiz Villamarim.
